1. What were the reasons the war started?
The reasons the war started was in 1956, South Vietnam, with American backing, refused to hold elections. By 1958, Communist-led guerrillas known as the Viet Cong had begun to battle the South Vietnamese government.

2. Was it actually a war?
The Vietnam war was not a war because the Congress did not offically declare war.

3. What countries were involved?
The main countries were involved are South Vietnam and North Vietnam. South Vietnam backed by anti-communist countries which included the United States, Australia, the Philippines, New Zealand,Thailand, Khmer Republic, Kingdom of Laos and Republic of China.

4. What was the outcome of the war?
